With the song “We Change Our Path”, our Kindergarten won 3rd prize for Best Song in the Kindergarten & Grade 1–2 category at the “Let It Be Heard 2025” music competition, part of the European School Radio Festival. The award ceremony took place on Saturday, April 12, during the 9th Student Radio Festival in Neos Marmaras, Halkidiki (Porto Carras).

The school was proudly represented by a large group of kindergarteners who, with energy and harmony, joined their voices in singing “We say no to violence… we change our path,” sending strong messages of love, friendship, and reconciliation.
A significant number of parents and teachers accompanied the team, offering the young students an unforgettable shared experience.

The song lyrics were written by kindergarten teachers Dimitra Alevizou and Eleni Basdeki, while the music was composed and orchestrated by conductor Nikos Efthymiadis, along with Ioanna Arevythi, the music teacher of the M. N. Raptou Primary School. Kindergarten teachers Evangelia Rapti and Chrysa Samoureli also played a key role in organizing and preparing the performance.

The “Let It Be Heard 2025” Student Radio Message & Song Competition is co-organized by the European School Radio Scientific Society, the First Student Radio, the Educational Radio & TV of the Greek Ministry of Education, the Pedagogical Institute of Cyprus, the Cypriot Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, and the National Centre for Audiovisual Media and Communication (EKOME). The event attracts entries from many Greek, Cypriot, and European schools across all levels and categories.

This is the second time M. N. Raptou Kindergarten has participated in this competition—and once again with great success, as in 2023 it received 2nd prize with the “Song of Peace.”
A huge BRAVO to our little ones who not only gave their best, but brought joy to children and adults alike, singing loud and proud:
“WE SAY NO TO VIOLENCE… WE CHANGE OUR PATH!”
